This is a mini course for first officers coming up for command (or any pilot really who just wants to develop/refresh themselves a bit).

They are designed to help you swot up on commandery knowledge, captainy thought processes and general piloty planning, problem solving and decision making skills.

Each FODR (this is the first) will take you through a sort of mini flight, and as you zoom through the hypothetical skies, you will have to solve problems, consider various things, make decisions, formulate plans and deal with issues…

Sounds good? I hope not because they are mean and challenging and not meant to be enjoyable AT ALL!

During this course, you will learn:

• Nothing. You should know this stuff already!
• OK, fine there are some things in it on regulations and stuff
• But the idea is to help you learn what you don’t know
• And have a chance to put your ‘I’m ready for command’ brain to the test a little.
