Not to worry though. You’re here now and ready to learn all about what it is, why we do it and, most importantly, how to do it.

What will you learn?

• How to identify threats i.e. how to point at a mountain
• How to mitigate said threats i.e. how to not fly into a mountain
• How to trap and fix errors i.e. Oh no, we’re too close the mountain, we’ll just have to land on it now
• The fact that TEM is that simple and really effective (but people still don’t always do it very well)

What this course won’t give you

• Official training because I am not an official trainer. This is just how I do it and hopefully that is vaguely useful, but if not, this is free so you can just ignore it and go back to the way you were told to do things by someone who is official.
• The absolute ability to never miss a threat or error. No-one can do that. This is just to help you build an awareness of what TEM is and some methods for maybe doing it. If you still run into threats or make errors, that’s entirely on you I’m afraid.
• Common sense. I also can’t help you there. You’ve either got it or you haven’t.
